You may not realize this, but I often struggle with knowing where to begin when I’m faced with new tasks—especially when learning something unfamiliar. Without a clear, step-by-step guide, I can easily feel overwhelmed, at least until I grasp the basics.
Because of this, I spent nearly two months reaching out to numerous digital marketing professionals across four different social media platforms, searching for an internship in SEO. At the time, I simply didn’t have the financial capacity to pay for training. Most of the responses I received were “well-meaning” but discouraging: “Just watch YouTube,” “Start writing, you’ll improve with time,” or “Our internship starts at ₦50k.” Still, I held on to hope—until one reply finally asked me to send a message on WhatsApp.
That message changed everything.
Over the next three months, I interned at Digital Bimpe in an environment that was professional, structured, and deeply insightful. I was first introduced to the proper business approach to digital marketing—work organization, record keeping, and copyright awareness. From there, I learned to use various design tools, video editing software, and AI-powered platforms. Through this journey, and with her influence, I also learned from Digital Rhazzack how to create images using effective AI prompts.
I am definitely not a professional at this moment, but I got the edge I needed.
To Digital Bimpe, this may have been just an internship.
