Bible Reading For February
Theme: Rooted in Love, Renewed in Strength
February is widely known as the month of love, but beyond human affection, it is an invitation to anchor yourself in the "Chesed" (steadfast, tender mercy) of God.
1. A Promise of New Beginnings
If January felt like a slow start or a heavy climb, February offers a "new thing."
Isaiah 43:18-19: "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."
2. The Strength to Continue
For those feeling weary from the start of the year, this month is a time for physical and spiritual recharge.
Isaiah 40:31: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
3. Living in Fearless Love
As 1 John reminds us, God’s love isn't just a feeling; it’s a shield against the anxieties of the world.
1 John 4:18: "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."
A Short Prayer for Your Month
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of February. I release the failures and disappointments of the past month and embrace the fresh start You have provided. This month, let Your peace guard my heart and Your love direct my steps. Open doors that align with Your purpose and give me the wisdom to walk through them with courage. Amen.
